The Joshua Farmer YouTube experience is a non scripted, comedy and lifestyle channel that explores current and trending topics in an organic and humorous way that pushes the boundaries of video blogging. The library of videos presents an eclectic mix of popular trends, influenced by pop culture. The idea to direct, produce, write and star in this project stems from one individuals passion and determination to educate and entertain in a form of social media that is thriving. This is not simply a YouTube channel, but a multi social media platform that acts as an aid in gaining prominence in this ever expanding media orientated society.
Debby Christou – Including my own mother in a video brought about a completely different and funny dynamic to the YouTube project. Her mannerisms, hilarious comments and sheer horrified reactions has pushed the video into a new and unique way to watch, providing the audience with laughs like no other. Thank you mum.
Lauren Thatcher – A fun, motivated and energetic individual that I thought would bring charm and charisma to my videos. I have known her for a long time and I feel as though the bond between us cements us as a strong duo that YouTube can relish in.
Ashlee Mitchell – The most creative person that I know, her style and attitude is a reflection of today’s young generation; which I feel as though appeals directly to my target audience. Ashlee loved being a part of this project and there are plans to work together again in the near future.
Alice Keane – Confident, witty and a happy individual, Alice brought a huge amount of energy to set as well as enthusiasm for the project. A relatable and talented young woman, Alice is a keen YouTube follower who knows a thing or too about what can make a video successful.
Studying at Coventry University has been extremely rewarding. Three years ago, this YouTube project was all but a dream and now I am able to say that I have established myself as a fully fledged successful video blogger. The skills and knowledge that I have acquired whilst doing this degree has not only benefitted this project, but my entire future career as a media professional. This project has not only pushed me technically, but also emotionally. I feel that my confidence has grown immensely, three years ago this project was entirely incomprehendable and I am extremely proud to see how far I have come. I now feel that I have the perfect foundation to help to support my future work and will continue to push myself and the boundaries for the best possible outcome of my ideas.
I look forward to my continuing progress as I set off into the future
